Gerry phoned just before I was to head out to Travis Perkins to pick up the final bits and bobs I need in order to get the top floor insulated.
Tea and cake it was then. The builders merchants can wait. I had set my morning customer back to 4pm and was concerned that I might not get everything done by then. No pressure. Had to keep reminding myself that there's plenty of time to socialize, alter the house and work on my and my customers' gardens over this holiday.
We settled in for our coffee and cake, but were disturbed by his friend Jo who was in Nailsworth this morning and wondered if he fancied a coffee. She came to me, eventually. We waited about an hour, ending up sitting in the garden in blazing sun.
Hope we'll meet up again soon.

I got on with insulating the top floor walls of the house, see Cottage Restoration for details
MeWally sat in the back garden and stripped,,,,, down his concertina. He has stinking cold and was under orders to take it steady.
Never seen the guts of a concertina. I'm probably in the majority in this.
Button mechanism.
They;re beautifully made.
Sue came around with a meal for us! She wanted us to go to her to eat, but MeWally is infectious and wobbly. So she decided that if I was working on the house all day and MeWally was ill, we'd appreciate a cooked meal made for us.
We sat around chatting, Sue looking comfy in my lilac garden clogs.
The meal was really good, a Delia, Aubergine bake with garlic bread and salad. Heaven.
Thank's Sue.
