Walking with MeWally on a lovely, summery morning, I was pleased to get a clear shot of this Nymps-field (LOL). It had been a livid yellow a week before, but has now lost it's sheen.
STILL A LOVELY VIEW THOUGH.
Gerry wandered over to eat Eccles Cakes at my place and later, lunch at the Britannia.
The weird thing about the Brit was it's total emptiness - apart from us. It was never empty at lunch time. We went to order our usual lunches - 'cause we is borin' ole farts, and they didn't have them.
NEW MENU.
We waded through it and settled on a chicken and cheese salad each. They held the chicken for me, but added nothing to replace it, meaning Gerry had a noticeably bigger meal than mine. AND they didn't put a bread roll with it - stingy, very, very stingy.
When we split up, I thought I should get on with some work on the Garden plot. Freddy came over in his vintage/classic Citroen, all shiny red and glistening chrome. He'd driven it to Tetbury and back. Its' first drive, he thought, in forty years. He's been restoring for quite some time; no, not for forty years! Funny how we all have our hobbies.
Freddy, Scott and I nattered for a while before going our separate ways and getting on with our day.
