After all that sitting around, we had to get some air. We headed up through St Georges Field and along to Barton End, finishing by walking the length of Ruskin Mill.
We must have passed this tree, in the field above St Georges, dozens of times and never noticed its' contorted form!
How could we miss it?
It was getting a bit late and the light was fading fast,
which gives a lovely sheen to everything it touches.
Puddles dappled the paths and tracks.
They were the leftovers from the torrential rain that fell as we were sweating over our computers and phones this morning.
We rounded off our walk at Ruskin Mill. Their new sculptures look great.

They are a bit stiff looking, cold,
but somehow compelling.

We ended up in near darkness, hungry and ready to put our feet up, for a change!
