The NAILSWORTH FARMERS MARKET was on today. I took CHIVES, MARJORAM, ALPINE STRAWBERRIES, HELLEBORES and GRAPE HYACINTHS. We were also selling BEAN POLES WITH FREE BEANS TO PLANT, BROCCOLI, RHUBARB and SEED POTATOES.
A stall holder chats up the TOWN CRIER; they make a well matched couple!
Here's her stall, all recyclable pots and pretty flowers. Rather lovely.
I've been meaning to show you this completely fantastic BREAD MAKER and her stall. She's a chatty person, always a good spot to get a bit of gossip.
Sadly, I haven't tried the pies yet, but it's only a matter of time!
The woman who runs this very VICTORIAN and FEMININE stall makes al her produce in the gallery next to the market. She uses found items and recycles them. It's CLEVER STUFF.
At the end of the market we had to take the seed potatoes back to GORDON at the NAILSWORTH IRONMONGERS - home of all things veg gardening.
Of course some of the spuds escaped. YES I did help to pick the up,
and haul them back to the shop.
