The SUB ROOMS Nailsworth were transformed into a tea room today as part of our very own NAILSWORTH FESTIVAL. There was a PARACHUTE and much BUNTING which gave the whole affair a war time feel.
This GIANT BROWN TEAPOT added the final WW2 touch! I took a bit of a shine to it and was planning my heist when MeWally said, "I bet you'd love one of those." Oh, how well he knows me!
We took a couple of seats at a table with some other people and glanced through the PLAY LIST, as we scoffed a COUPLE OF CREAM TEAS -
EACH.
2 hours of live music had been laid on, all played and sung by a succession of talented young locals.
It was a perfect, ENGLISH ENDING to a very ENGLISH FESTIVAL -
or should that be FEASTIVAL
MeWally and I had been to a good number of the goodies in the programme - What can we say except .....
ROLL ON NEXT YEAR!!
: )
