I feel I REALLY MUST APOLOGISE for the rubbish quality of these shots. Thankfully the play was excellent - well acted, slightly confusing and, yes, FUNNY.
The intermission saw the whole place erupt into a SOCIAL CLUB with EVERYONE up and about, chatting. The sound of all that talking was so loud that it sounded like a WEATHERSPOONS pub on a busy night. I guess that's what makes the Nailsworth Festival soooo great.
You have to agree that this doesn't look like a theatre evening. It was a delight to witness such a friendly town in action. Now I know why we live here! Yes, yes, I already knew that.
The STAR OF THE NIGHT had to be this actress (the one in the pinny) - she was HILARIOUS, OVER THE TOP, PERFECT for this play. Catch it and her in STROUD at the PLAYHOUSE - July 1st.
