After a morning of hard digging up on the plot, what could be nicer than to trot along to CHALFORD to admire a bit of art.
The invitation was pretty
informative
and the venue, the same as ever - STUNNING. You can just make out the artists, John and Fiona Owen - in white, as well as MeWally and Gerry.
The picture I liked had already been snapped up - perhaps a lucky escape for our bank balance, but at least |I was able to buy this lovely book I've been coveting for the last 3 or 4 years. Having given it as a gift to others in the past, today, I decided, was MY TURN.
A pot of tea for three in the all new LAVENDER TEA ROOMS (in the old Monkey Florists at Chalford). It's heaven, complete with an amazing mural at one end. There were plenty of people in, but they were all outside ... alfresco..... if you see what I mean.
The exhibition's on for another couple of weeks along with a garden open there, in aid of COTSWOLD CARE HOSPICE.
After the high brow stuff, I changed back into my rags and returned to THE PLOT for yet more gardening - we will have vegetables - one day!
