These days, when young people fall in love, or have children ..... hopefully in that order, it's usual to get a TATTOO. I've never seen a TATTOO ARTIST at work and jumped at the chance to watch Bellas' daddy cry as he went under the needle.
We headed to SPYKZ in Nailsworth, him with his design clutched in his trembling hand and me wondering what they'd make of having an old trout in their tattoo parlour.
The design was drawn up by hand and transferred to the victims' heart ... sorry, I meant customer.
After much dentist like drilling and, "Going anywhere nice for your holidays?" (not really, it turned out the tattooist, his receptionist and this young dad all know each other) the deed was done. I have to admit that I wandered off for a while for a natter.
What a GREAT SHOP, with a LOVELY, ACCEPTING, NON-JUDGEMENTAL TEAM. I'll probably stick my head around their door from time to time just to say hello - and to scrounge one of their FREE LOLLIPOPS
: )
We steadied ourselves by having lunch, in the sun, at SCRUMPTIOUS, before heading off to meet up with Bella and Mummy.
So here he is with the subject of the tattoo. On such a sunny afternoon where else would mummy, daddy and Bella go, but the park.
It's been an interesting day off in good company.
I HAVE BEEN EDUCATED.
