Nailsworth Farmers Market - Saturday 28.4.12

You only need to glance at the image below to get an idea of todays environment!

Wet, windy, cold. It all meant a quiet morning with slow, but steady sales.

A high spot for me was the arrival of RHONA
You'll be sorry to hear that Rhona has BURNT her 'OH SO WRONG TROUSERS'. Her daughter was very pleased about it. Rhona says she hadn't realised that there was a hole in the seat of the pants, and on closer inspection, that the aforementioned seat was so thin that she could see clear through the fabric. She looked well smart in her smart new over trousers.

I didn't take a picture, she's suffered enough at my hands/lens.
: )

By 11am I was feeling the cold and zipped home to grab a BIG flask of coffee and a couple of home made SPICY BUNS to share with an equally frozen Liz.

It helped to warm us through, though sadly, it didn't do anything to improve the weather!

Despite spending no time shopping, I did spy these GORGEOUS GOOSE EGGS from our weather locked stall. I grabbed them to make a meal of.

In case you think they're not that big, here's one next to an average sized chickens egg.

All I need now is a recipe so that I can make the most of them
..... NOW LET ME SEE ....
