Yesterday, Emma was working hard too: for her it was new day, new baby. Welcome William Lloyd and congrats to Emma and Andy. Wills seems to have very dark hair, and boy, does he look good. While we’re in France I’ll attempt to knit him a blanket like the one I did for Bella Wella, though I’ll hold the pink wool!
What to do today, that was the question. There was a rock hard frost this morning. No gardening on my plot today. No teaching today either. They didn't call me in.
Fix up 2 old chairs, that's what I'll do. They're from the 1960's and although fairly small, they wont fit into our tiny place. So a restoration, using the fabric I picked up in Ikea, seemed the best idea for today. I'll be indoors and busy. sounds great to me.
Ho-Hum
The first chair I finished looks like this.
Gorgeous
The second, like this.
Coo-ell
They cost less than 6 quid each to do and took 4 hours from getting all the stuff out of the shed and various cupboards and boxes, to all tidied up. Pretty good. When we get back from the snowy wastes, I'll get on and sell them. Lets hope I make a small profit on them.
